Cid, the Engineer, is another person not originating from Gaya. He is one of the four main story quest givers found in front of the Cathedral in central Kalm. He gives out the starting quest for the game, Find Mid, which opens the city gates of Kalm to begin your adventures.

Because Cid is a main quest-giver he gives quite a few quests. They are:
Cid will help defend the city during Kalm Siege II and Kalm Siege III, and if he dies during these sieges the quest fails and must be attempted again.
After completing the quest Manifestation of Evil, you can fight him in the Battle Arena in the Ningen Cup. He is the team "Master Engineer".

Cid has 42 (+15) Strength, 43 Agility and 48 Intelligence. He deals 50-60 (+50) normal attack damage and has heavy armor with 3625 health and 920 mana.
In the Ningen Cup, he has 654 (+80) Strength, 645 Agility, and 699 Intelligence. He deals 1400-1410 siege damage and has 62 (+70) heavy armor with 23050 health and 11285 mana.
His inventory is a Mithril Axe, Mithril Shield, Mithril Helmet, Mithril Mail, and Steel Gorget.

Cid has become head of Kalm and governs the city which you see in various interactions like when Montblanc mentions that he has received 30000 Gold from Cid to work on the map of the world.
